Joséphine Löchen is a photographer based in Paris. Her work is a diligent quest on temporality and beauty.
She draws her inspiration from French cinema, classical Italian paintings and Japanese photography. Her chromatic palette blends neutral and pastel tones bringing a glimpse of sensuality to her work.
Joséphine’s ongoing interest for pictorial aesthetics is amplified by the use of daylight. She seeks to show the beauty of small details in an authentic and poetic approach.
Joséphine has been part of group exhibitions at La Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, as well as in the Galerie Perrotin. Her work is featured in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, AnOther, Double Magazine, SSAW and M le Monde.
She collaborates with brands including A.P.C, Carven, Dior, Prada, Sportmax, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham.
In 2022 she published “CORRESPONDANCE” with Marie Déhé, a book celebrating friendship and new motherhood through a photographic conversation between two photographers.
