As a photographer, I have just produced a recorded photographic documentary about the end of life in different units of the university hospital in Rennes (mobile palliative care team, fixed unit of palliative care, pulmonology, versatile internal medicine unit).
This report is recorded because I took care of interviewing the nursing staff’s feelings and integrating voices and sounds of services in an audio photographic slideshow.
The aim of this photographic work was to deepen this thought by combining two professional perspectives: my photograph’s eye and the nurses’ one, collecting their feelings about the end of life in the form of interviews and from their answers, immersing myself in them and photographing as accurately as possible, putting their feelings into images.
It is entitled “Life to the end”.
