La Corderie n°25

La Corderie n°25, two psychoanalyst offices but also a place of life for more than 30 years. Desire to keep track by photographing a place loaded, which is just as familiar to me (rituals of family celebrations for broken families and recomposed, that foreign (I have never lived there). Strange place also from the passage day after day of patients in search of listening who come to lie down on the sofa and unwind the time of a session the threads of a tangled lives. Crossed silhouettes, imposed silence, atmosphere hushed, cabinet mystery, forbidden space, place of memory, life resumes its rights late at night and rest days. The walls reveal bits of life, the tapestries testify to the time spent and the cabinets open in the family archives. Work on past and present memory, say the filiation, before it fades away…

Boulevard de la Corderie is located in the district where ropes were made for the port from Marseille. This word “Corderie” then becomes emblematic here in that it “connects” and “tunes” both what is playing in the memory of everyone, and the analysis of patients who do not don’t end up weaving memories over the years go to this address…
