Published by SKIRA, Schiaparelli Anglomaniac explores the creative dialogue between the House of Schiaparelli and a vibrant community of over 50 British artists, photographers, stylists, and image-makers. Edited by Thierry-Maxime Loriot and introduced by Dua Lipa, the book features a historical-critical essay by Loriot and a text by Robin Muir examining the historic collaborations between Schiaparelli and photographer Cecil Beaton.
The publication includes numerous previously unpublished images and artworks presented here for the first time, alongside interviews with Nick Knight, Stephen Jones, Dame Pat McGrath, Guido Palau, and Nadia Lee Cohen, with additional contributions by Trino Verkade.
Since Daniel Roseberry’s arrival at Schiaparelli, his singular creative vision has inspired a wide network of British talents across photography, illustration, performance, fashion editing, hair, and make-up. In the spirit of Elsa Schiaparelli’s original collaborations with artists, the book highlights the work of nearly fifty creatives spanning several generations.
Featured figures include historic photographers Cecil Beaton and Norman Parkinson; established artists such as Nick Knight, Tim Walker, and Pat McGrath; and a new generation including Nadine Ijewere, Campbell Addy, Felix Cooper, Nadia Lee Cohen, Jack Davison, Tom Craig, and Harley Weir. Together, these collaborators reflect the evolving cultural landscape surrounding the House.
Across disciplines and generations, these artists respond to the work of a single creative mind while asserting their own distinct perspectives. Their images and interventions reinterpret and subvert the established codes of both a fashion house and an industry, celebrating diversity, wit, and technical mastery.

About the authors
Thierry-Maxime Loriot is a Canadian writer, curator, and creative director who has curated more than seventeen exhibitions dedicated to Jean Paul Gaultier worldwide, including in London, Paris, Melbourne, Buenos Aires, Munich, and Montreal. His internationally acclaimed touring exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk was followed by Love is Love: Wedding Bliss for All à la Jean Paul Gaultier and Jean Paul Gaultier from A to Z for the France Pavilion at the Dubai World Expo in 2022. Loriot has also curated major touring exhibitions on Thierry Mugler and Viktor&Rolf and authored numerous books on fashion and photography. To date, his exhibitions have attracted more than six million visitors.
Robin Muir is a photographic historian, exhibition curator, and external curator for the National Portrait Gallery in London. A former picture editor at Vogue, he now serves as a contributing editor and consultant on its photographic archives. He has curated major exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Yale Center for British Art.
Trino Verkade is director of the Sarabande Foundation. She worked closely with Alexander McQueen from the early years of his career, helping develop his business from a small creative studio into a global luxury brand. She also oversaw Savage Beauty, the landmark retrospective of McQueen’s work presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2011.
