It is by luck looking for a house that Chiara Fossati discovers this quite atypical neighbourhood in the suburbs of Milan : “Villaggio dei Fiori”. Initially, the district built after the last world war to relocate the victims of the destruction of the war. She integrated perfectly to this neighbourhood in which she immersed herself totally. The author began to build progressively a photographic unit which proves to be much more than a simple testimony or a documentary concerning a place of life and its inhabitants.
Whether we share, or not, the intercommunity bonds and / or marginal symbols present in each of the images, it appears from all this set a desire, almost irresistible, to go there to participate and to testify of the existence material and spiritual of this place. But is not this a merit of photography?
