For nearly two months, Alain Jullien is bringing together the visions of Christopher Taylor and Luo Yongjin at the OFOTO Gallery in Shanghai. A world-renowned curator known for his work at the first international photography festival held in Lianzhou, and the International Photography Biennale at the Guangdong Museum of Art, Alain Jullien took advantage of the launch of the project Archive on Recent Past (A.R.P.) to ask two of gallery director Huan Yunhe’s favorite artists to explore the villages of Guizhou.
At the OFOTO Gallery, Taylor and Yongjin try to capture the soul, history and culture of Guizhou, one of China’s most idyllic provinces. Entitled A Vision With Two Eyes, the exhibition joins two friends and photographers with different styles and backgrounds, but who are equally receptive.
