The scenario that presented itself to my eyes was depressing and disconcerting, difficult to understand, but above all to accept.
Shoes, cans, tyres, used bottles, beer cans and plastic chairs, this is how the beach of Licola Mare, a popular seaside resort west of Naples, looked on a Sunday morning in March this year. Objects that do not grow on the beach, nor are born in the sea, but thanks to mankind’s high sense of civilisation and thanks to the rivers and canals, we get rid of what we do not want by flooding the beaches and seas, but inevitably nature gives us back after every cloudburst…
