A CRAZY WIG STORY
Pauline, has been a dancer at Crazy Horse Paris for several years now. In the evening, she changes her name and calls herself “Pixelle Canon”. It is from the boxes of the legendary cabaret that she prepares her transformation. Pauline becomes Pixelle, the femme fatale that all of Paris envies. She puts on her iconic red wig, Louboutins heels and light outfits designed by great fashion designers and prepares to take the stage to dance under the spotlights that will sublimate her body with their lights.
For a day, Pauline and I wanted to recreate the atmosphere of Parisian cabarets by staging several characters that she likes to interpret. What she loves about wigs is the possibilities they offer. It’s a way of expressing oneself and above all of “not being limited to”. Thanks to them, you can be any woman you want to be.
This series “A Crazy Wig Story” is an ode to femininity, to the 80s and to cabarets which have been closed for almost a year now.
