My name is Rowynn Michelle Dumont. I consider myself a visual storyteller. Telling a story to me is like eating a good meal. You savor the flavor and the texture of each bite. Take it all in slow and drawn out. In the end you feel satisfied. This is what I would like to achieve with my photographs.
I began traveling young, and attended part of my high school education in London. This gave me a taste for academia and culture. At the age of 15 I was painting landscapes in Ireland. At 25 I was building Vodou installations in Haiti. And at 30 I am taking photographs in Downtown Los Angeles.
I attended my undergrad at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and later transferred to AVU in Prague, CZ. I hold a BFA in Studies of Taboo Religions and Sexuality in Art. I am currently completing my MFA at The Academy of Art San Francisco.
