The images in the Rapture Series are a metaphor for the transition between life and death. Many images depict the metamorphosis that takes place as if passing from one dimension to another, falling in the sky, slipping out of a dress. In this series I used water as a means of conveying the weightlessness of floating to try to convey a feeling of departing the body for another dimension, leaving behind the trappings of everyday life. My hope is that the viewer will be reminded of the transience of life and the mystery of what lies beyond.
