Serge Brunier : Voyage au cœur de la Galaxie
Every year, in the heart of the Southern hemisphere’s winter, Earth is plunged into darkness, face-to-face with the Milky Way, our galaxy. In order to view this staggering panorama in all its splendor, you have to position yourself below the Tropic of Capricorn, where the center of the galaxy is visible exactly at the zenith. For the past few years, I have witnessed this cosmic happening from the perfect vantage point: the Atacama Desert in Chile. There, under a pure sky, the Milky Way is revealed.
