PRÉSENCE(S) PHOTOGRAPHIE aims to offer everyone vibrant, high-quality, artistic photography.
Présence(s) Photographie is a festival in the middle Rhône Valley, on both banks of the river near Montélimar, Le Teil, and Viviers.
The 2026 festival will take place from Saturday, May 23rd to Sunday, June 7th (please note that this date may be moved forward or back a few days). The opening night traditionally takes place on the Friday before the festival.
During the festival, several screenings are scheduled on a large screen. This is an opportunity for photographers to present their work to an audience of amateurs and professionals. It’s a time for discussion and sharing with leading figures in photography. During each screening, viewers are invited to vote for two slideshows. The winner will be the photographer who receives the most votes. The selected photographer will have their series exhibited during the 2027 festival, with production handled by Présence(s) Photographie.
You are welcome to participate regardless of your status, age, or nationality. The only requirement is that the photographic work be your own. You may submit a maximum of one or two projects; only one will be selected.
Participation Guidelines
For the jury to better evaluate your work, please submit a video that meets the following criteria:
• There is no set theme.
• The video must be between 2 and 4 minutes long and include at least 10 photographs.
• The slideshow file must be in mp4 (H264) HD 1080 (high definition) format.
• File naming convention: last_first_name. Only submissions meeting these requirements will be considered.
• Your slideshow must begin with the title and end with the photographer’s name and musical references. Music rights are paid by Présence(s) photographie to SACEM.

• Send your slideshow uncompressed. We recommend using Smash (https://fromsmash.com/). WeTransfer’s retention period is far too short for our organization.
• Do not upload to a cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

• If you are selected, we will ask you for eight high-resolution, royalty-free photos that best represent your series. These will be used for internal and external communication (local and national press, etc.) and for a group exhibition of the selected works.
The Selection
An artistic committee will select the candidates based on the quality and originality of their work. This committee, composed of professional photographers, artists, and the festival organizers, will make the final and binding decision.
Approximately fifteen works will be selected. The selected artists will be notified by email at the end of February 2025.
All participants will be informed of the receipt of their application at the beginning of January. Don’t worry, if there are any problems, you will have one week to correct or resubmit.

Our commitments
Registration for this call for applications is free.
The selected photographers will be invited to participate in the Photographers’ Weekend (date to be announced), a highlight of the Festival, focused on networking, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences.
We will do our best to arrange your accommodation in the best possible conditions. Respect for your work is our top priority. However, the uncertainties surrounding future grants and subsidies prevent us, at this stage of the season, from confirming our financial commitments. We will inform you of the final terms as soon as the official selection is announced.
To give you an idea, here is what we offered in previous years—and which we hope to continue offering:
• A high-quality Festival catalog showcasing your work, distributed to photography professionals and sold to the public (€15).
• Travel expenses covered (up to €150) for photographers present for the entire weekend.
• Homestay accommodation, fostering interaction and a friendly atmosphere.
