Since always it is along the coastline that I fully live my double passion for the sea and the photography by privileging the particular luminosity of beginning or end of day often specific to a region.
Through these fifteen photographs I translate my vision of what I look for at the seaside at a time when the awareness of the importance of the quality of the oceans becomes essential, vital; it is a chronicle of the beautiful, agitated sea, of its shores, its colors, its beaches, its moments of life, its boats, its becoming which could be darker in the image of the bad weather which becomes always stronger. ..
After a long detailed weather forecast, I go to a marine site to scan the sky, ready to trigger at the decisive moment when a ray of sunshine will cross a sky tormented by big black clouds and illuminate a brief moment the subject coveted many times : a lighthouse, colorful beach cabins, Aiguille d’Etretat, Mont Saint Michel, wind-chipped oyats or classic yachts in the port of Saint-Tropez.
I like to capture the light when it magnifies the elements: To be there at the right moment: whether in Fécamp, Deauville or Barfleur, Mont Saint Michel, on the Normandy coast, at the tip of Brittany, or in Provence, and especially during the autumn or winter months; the seaside inspires me, fills me even more when I am almost alone to enjoy an unusual lighting that I want to restore the natural and without filter.
