MEN, the new exhibition at Espace Art Absolument, is presented through January 3rd, 2026 as part of the PhotoSaintGermain festival.
Bringing together seven artists from different generations and backgrounds—Robert Mapplethorpe, Andres Serrano, Louis Jammes, Tomasz Machciński, David Meskhi, Pierre-Élie de Pibrac, and Felipe Romero Beltrán—the exhibition offers a plural reading of masculinity, through works created between the 1980s and today.
One year after Elles d’abord !, an exhibition whose second chapter was devoted exclusively to women photographers, MEN presents the male counterpart. This exhibition continues the reflection on gender representations in contemporary photography.
Created between the 1980s and the present day, these works question identity construction, culture, power, and performance.
