Ahead of the 9th annual edition of Photo London fair, a special occasion was held at PhotoHouse in Paris, marking a celebration for the Master Photography for 2024, awarded to French photographer Valérie Belin showcasing a solo exhibition part of the public fair programme.
Amidst an intimate crowd of friends, galleries and art collectors, the occasion brought together Photo London founders Michael Benson and Fariba Farshad, alongside Kamiar Malek, Director of the fair.
Notable exhibiting galleries at Photo London this year attend the PhotoHouse event including Galerie Obadia with gallery Directors Eva Ben Dhiab and Pauline Chiche and Galleri Binome’s founder Valerie Cazin to celebrate the occasion.
Curated and organised by artist and photographer Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze, PhotoHouse shares an exclusive glimpse of the artistic universe, a dynamic creative studio rooted in a legacy of photography and visual arts located in the artist left-bank quarter.

For the 9th edition, Photo London fair will return to Somerset House starting in May. One of the major highlight of the Photo London program is Valérie Belin “Silent Stories” solo exhibition that offers a retrospective her Berlin work spanning three decades. The series of images are In the words of its creator, “neither narrative nor documentary and tell no particular stories, but should be seen as a mirror of actions without words.”
Alongside two major exhibitions and an exciting array of exhibitors, showcasing the best of the medium from past to future. ‘The Magic Art of French Calotype’ and ‘See/Change — Art Collection Deutsche Börse @25’ are featured exhibitions. Belmond presents a captivating photographic space, while Kamiar Maleki oversees the Main Section of the fair and Charlotte Jansen curates the Discovery Section. Furthermore, the event features the return of the Photo London x Nikon Emerging Photographer of the Year and the Photo London x Hahnemühle Student Award, recognizing outstanding talents in the field.
The Talks Programme, led by Thames & Hudson, promises engaging discussions, while an enhanced VIP Programme offers exclusive collaborations with London’s esteemed art and photography collections.
