The Magnum Gallery represents Magnum photographers, members, founders and estates. A cultural force, the agency was founded by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, George Rodger and David Seymour in 1947. Today, Magnum represents generations of photographers and estates engaged with the medium, maintaining its founding ideals at the crossroads of art and photojournalism.
The Magnum Gallery, which expands both online and offline in 2021, aims to honour the legacy of its founders and estates, while nurturing the careers of its younger generation of photographers, hereby placing their works in the best collections around the world.
Today, The Magnum Gallery operates two spaces: a gallery in Paris located at 68 rue Léon Frot, 75011 and an exhibition space in London, at 63 Gee Street, EC1V 3RS. The Magnum Gallery features a robust programme of exhibitions in its physical locations, alongside strongly-curated online displays aiming at wide public engagement for art. The Magnum Gallery is also present at art and photography fairs around the world.
A leading voice in publishing, Magnum Photos and Magnum photographers have published over 1,000 books. Produced in collaboration with curators and cultural institutions worldwide, the books advance the artistic mission of Magnum photographers.
