Rune Guneriussen – A Multiverse Explanation
For this new edition of Photo London, the Olivier Waltman gallery is presenting a collective exhibition of four photographers from different cultures and countries, all of whom investigate the interference of human behavior with its environment.
Rune Guneriussen (Norway – 1977) plays on the contrast between an intact natural setting and the accumulation of manufactured objects, he creates poetic and ephemeral scenes, with soft lights and cold colors.
For each project, Rune Guneriussen must install and orchestrate the “actors” of his visual composition, creating for a moment a dreamlike and enchanted world, before freezing the moment by the photographic act. Then, he dismantles his installations, at the same time removing all traces of his intervention.
His works invite the viewer to contemplate the result of the interaction between man and nature, as a metaphorical way to reflect our place in the passage of time.
