Philippe Pache : “Telephoned images”

Philippe Pache writes “How many times have I heard this phrase: with a camera like this, you can only take beautiful photos.” And adds “You never tell a painter: with such a brush, you can only make beautiful paintings.”

It’s forgetting that the only tool really necessary to make an image is the eye. And that’s why even though he always has a “real” camera slung over his shoulder, Philippr Pache takes a lot of photos with his phone.

And this “additional” tool generates two advantages: its immediate use and the economy of adjustments. From then on,  photographer’s like him “desecrates” the technique without putting it aside. But he never forgets that only the taking is important. So much so that the light fantasy of such a practice in no way excludes seriousness.
