The Galerie Jardin Persan presents Autant d’histoires, an exhibition by Vincent Lafon. This is how he presents the exhibition:
An interest in history and the present for human activity and an aesthetic of life guide my steps as a photographer on a bushy path.
They are accompanied by a conviction which seems to me to be expressed with more impact in black and white with infinite shades of gray to reveal those of light and shadow: the absence of color extends the possibility of abstraction and frees the interpretation of each photograph.
This explains why I gave the title So Many Stories to my artistic project. It recognizes each person photographed in their identity and their otherness, the multiplicity of contexts that I experienced during the shots and therefore, the possible diversity of the spectators’ feelings in front of each photograph.
After several decades of practice, it is with a free and open mind that I begin to share some of these “stories” on this site and during exhibitions in art galleries and museums.
