Serenity
This photographic series, which I titled “Serenity,” explores those suspended moments when the hustle and bustle of everyday life fades away, giving way to an inner silence. Time then seems to stand still, or rather, it ceases to matter.
These are moments that everyone seeks in their own way—gazing at the horizon, listening to the sound of the waves… An isolated silhouette, the slow movement of a boat, a swimmer seeming to glide across the water: these are all ordinary scenes, but they remind us that silence and slowness are still possible.
Through these images, I sought to capture this universal quest, this vital need, the need to reconnect with what is essential.
And perhaps suggest that those who manage to make these fleeting moments last are touching on an intimate form of freedom.
