I love to see, dear indolent, Of your beautiful body,
Like a flickering fabric, Shimmer the skin!
Extract from Baudelaire’s poem “Le serpent qui danse”
The woman’s body is a source of limitless inspiration.
Her nakedness confuses us, troubles us, moves us.
In this series I chose to represent this body as a landscape
which metamorphoses with each movement, with each undulation. I wanted to get lost in the details until I flirted with abstraction.
Each of the women who posed for this minimalist and intimate journey brought her femininity, her mystery, her pleasure, her freedom and I thank them.
It’s about skin, identity, beauty, splendor and the sacred. – Pascal Ito
