This is mostly insects photographied with an artistic and anthropomorphic look. No color is changed nor the shapes of the subjects. The work of light and shadow transfigures them. Simple digital arrangement, parts of the animals are faded away or have been erased. An authenticity is vital for my involvement in this work. The large size prints, proposed in limited edition, creates a genuine encounter between the viewer and these amazing personages, people of a parallel world. These kinds of portraits projected in registers such as Tribal Art or human symbolic, built a cultural bridge, abolishing the time at a glance, the prejudices that fill our imagination. Focusing on the wonders of insect’s world is a pretty good way to work for their protection.
