Recently discovered at a Paris flea market, František Drtikol‘s “Nude with Ropes” went to a lucky collector for a magnificent 28,800 euros (starting price: 8,000 euros) at OstLicht Photo Auction. The motif was the only one from this series to appear in the now expensively traded photobook “Women in Light” and – as evidenced by the signature, dating, stamp and labels on the original box – was selected by Drtikol himself for several exhibitions.
