This program supports artists who fall in between the categories of emerging and established artists. The exhibition series will further BAXTER ST’s goal to foster cultures of belonging in the cultural sector by offering mid-career, lens-based artists an opportunity to exhibit artwork.
Recipients will receive a stipend as well as a production fee and a solo exhibition at BAXTER ST at CCNY. Recipients will also be part of our robust programming, including a public conversation and a one-on-one meeting with an Art Advisory Committee Member.
Eligible artists must reside in NewYork, have worked in the medium for 8+ years, not be represented by a major gallery, and not have had an NYC solo show within the past year.
