Retrocausality is a concept of cause and effect where the effect precedes its cause in time. Perhaps this is what happened to me in Iceland, to step in for the first time into a place I knew, a land that is not allowed to remain the same.
Along with the photographic series, I always publish an essay about the road trip. You shouldn’t expect touristic itineraries, on my road trips, the objective is to distance myself from everything that reminds me of the everyday routine. My roads lead to nature, not cities. In cities, I walk.
Why road trips? Few things bring me such peace and wonder as driving on an unknown road with no end in sight.
