As part of its cultural programming around the exhibition “Robert Doisneau, the spirit of Resistance”, the Musée de la Résistance nationale in Champigny-sur-Marne announces the launch of a photography competition on the theme “The spirit of Resistance in everyday life” from July 10 to September 22, 2024. The results of this competition will be announced by an exceptional jury during the closing weekend of the exhibition, on October 12.
Capture the spirit of Resistance every day
This competition, open to all photography enthusiasts, is intended to be a celebration of the legacy of Robert Doisneau and his artistic commitment to the representation of daily life and the Resistance.
Participants of all ages are invited to explore and capture, in the style of Robert Doisneau, moments that embody the spirit of resistance in their daily lives. The competition is divided into four categories with appropriate themes:
- Children (under 12): “Smile at life”
- Adolescents (between 12 and 17 years old): “Keep hope”
- Adults (18 years and over): “Resilience”
- Collective: depending on the age group of the group, the candidates will deal with the sub-theme corresponding to those of the individual participations.
How to participate?
This competition is open to all from Wednesday July 10, 2024. Participants are invited to submit an unretouched black and white photograph illustrating their personal interpretation of the chosen theme.
They are encouraged to draw inspiration from the style of Robert Doisneau, known for his spontaneous shots taken in a carefully chosen setting, capturing moments of everyday life with a poetic and humanist touch.
Participation is made via a registration form available online on the museum’s website (www.musee-resistance.com). Duly completed forms and photos must be sent before Sunday September 22, 2024 at 5:00 p.m., i.e.:
