Milano: Contemporary Brazilian photography

Preview

Caju* presents an exhibition entitled Other Colours of Samba: Reflections of Contemporary Brasil to launch its activities in Europe, together with Think | Cattleya**, which is continuing in its successful path in promoting contemporary art. This show, held in Think | Cattleya open space in Milano, will feature the work of three Caju photographers: Daniel Kfouri, Julio Bittencourt and Gustavo Pellizzon.

The show collects the works of these three artists who offer their different styles of photography, highly representative of the Brazilian contemporary photography scene.

Daniel Kfouri tells us about the cult of sport and the body, lived with great spontaneity and freedom in a country with incredible natural resources; Julio Bittencourt composes beautiful stories about the Brazilian lower and raising middle class, using a witty and far from stereotype gaze; while Gustavo Pellizzon uses a classic reportage style to tell about the legends and myths of the country.
The three Brazilian artists therefore offer a contemporary look on their country, producing images characterized by a personal perspective that collects the Brazilian spirit, without falling into stereotypes always associated with life in Brazil.
To see Brazil the Brazilian way.
