With an ongoing trajectory that started at the beginning of the 80’s, the main interest of Patricia Ready Gallery has always been to diffuse the work of different generations of artists that are either established or emerging from the Chilean or Latin-American scenes.
Patricia Ready Gallery has an open curatorial profile. In other words, the gallery grants a space for young artists as well as for those who have established their position in Chilean and international visual arts.with mostly Latin-American artists.
The Gallery’s center of attention is concentrated on experimentation, research in new media and technologies, conceptual art, photography, video art, digital art, installations and performances, as well as the traditional medias, such as painting, sculpture and printing.
The Gallery has a large exhibition hall, and a smaller exhibition area assigned to graphic arts and photography.
Simultaneously, the Cultural Corporation under the name of Arte+ was created a few years ago. The main goals of this non-profit organization is to grant scholarships in Visual Arts so that young creators from diverse areas have a place to show their work. Fims, music, lectures, poetry are monthly promoted.
Patricia Ready Gallery continues with its primary objectives by promoting young artists and exposing the work of those who are established. For the MIA ART FAIR the artists on show are Antonia Cruz and Teresa Gazettal.
Teresa Gazitúa investigates landscape and its environment, which is fixed and worked on a very specific support : composite aluminium. Antonia Cruz instead, investigates women ´s portrait, giving a reinterpretation of classical portraits in painting.
