“Le Marais” is a new photographic series, born in Karelia, an arctic region between Finland and Russia.
It is the evolution of a long search on the trees in the Nordic countries started twenty years ago.
Through this series, I wanted to reduce the plant form of the tree, to its simplest minimalist expression, refined, graphic overexposing the subject in a night and aquatic environment.
«Le Marais» (the marsh) represents for me the ultimate location of the transformation of the living.
Often place nursery for many species, decomposition is accelerated there. My nights, in human solitude in the marshes are teeming with life.
