Iceland, visions of Earth

We’re earthbound creatures and our thoughts and visions are quite understandably linked to the physical plane and to experience unique perspectives. Seeing from above is not consistent with seeing from the ground. Photography imagination is filtered through painting and its creative processes. The terms fields, spatiality, bird’s-eye view, aerial view, geometric perspective, blend of colors, shades, shadows, color ratio, evocative, abstract art, get a meaning. Looking from above Iceland, we can enjoy those natural masterpieces, authored by the Greatest Artist. Changing the point of observation, indeed, we also change the scope of our understanding and perception of the surrounding environment, of this living land, of this world apart. From the ground, the eternal interplay of color and light of this ever-changing remote land provides an inexhaustible source of artistic creation. From above, unnatural colors, shimmering waterways, jagged coastlines and abstract patterns; nature creates washes of color. The sublime and the imaginary, we feel emotions, an extraordinary event that Mother Nature offers in our eyes. Seeing from above is a “vision”, a vision of earth. We are the creation witnesses in a land in continuous evolution.
