The American Academy in Rome, home of résidences for artists, scholars and architects is planning to appoint as President Mark Robbins, the current executive director of the International Center of Photography. Known for his multidisciplinary interests, Mark Robbins (57 years old) leaves ICP after only one year at the helm, an institution that he will lead until November 15, before naturally leaving a sense of unfinished business. He said in a telephone interview with the New York Times, the first newspaper that published the news, « It’s hard to resist the lure of the city of Rome. »
