Riti settennali – Religious procession
In Italy precisely in Guardia Sanframondi (BN) every seven years the procession of the doors takes place, in honor of the Assumption. Souls dressed in white pierce their chests until they bleed. The heat, the smell of blood mixed with vinegar transport you to another dimension, where the sacred mixes with the profane, between bloody crucifixes and sins to atone for.
