This book has been conceived as a follow-up to his previous publication Echo (2006).
Earth/Heart includes photographs taken in apparently untouched stretches of landscape in Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Italy and Fanø Island in Denmark.
The title Earth/Heart highlights the vision that comes from “feeling” rather than from “watching”, Signorini’s images are lushly tinted to evoke a warmth of emotion in the viewer. an emotional vision of the greatness of beauty and the life of the living. Images of places, apparently untouched, alternate with the presence of the contemporary, in a dimension of time intentionally imprecise caught between the present, the past and the future.
Marco Signorini (1962) lives in Florence. He has exhibited his photographs in group and solo shows in Italy and throughout the world. His works are held by the Museo Fotografia Contemporanea in Cinisello Balsamo and by the project “Linea di Confine per la Fotografia Contemporanea”.
