This project was intended to contain all the elements of what I am interested in photographically. It is a narrative with a dark subject that is not completely clear to the viewer. We tried to convey the essence of the story in a series of critical moments that contain ambiguous clues to the storyline. The original idea came from a Mental condition I was reading about at the time called the ‘Capgras Delusion’. This condition is one in which a person’s primary delusion is that a close relative or friend has been replaced by an imposter, an exact double yet with all the familiarity, physical appearance and behaviour of the original….
