My work is oriented towards the landscape views by seizure of Netherlands views, the home of the first landscape painters. I am seduced by the great illusion of depth, immensity of these works, due to the space reserved to the sky and sunlight piercing through the clouds. The detailed description of each element of the decor to the horizon gives a sense of infinite space.
My Jura landscapes appear as a tribute to Gustave Courbet, also inheritor of Dutch painting. It includes some of his favorite such as the Cave Saracen.
Front of these diverse landscapes resurface a sense of déjà vu left by the painters who have shaped the collective memory. I reinvested it to give a singular vision, particularly through the choice of the photographic medium.
