Since wine brings people together, more than 120 artists either posed with a wine glass or photographed one. This is a project by Gérard-Philippe Mabillard, director of the Valais vinyards in Switzerland. This remarkable initiative was carried out to raise money for Colombian children in need, with the support of the Fondation Moi pour Toit.
Gérard-Philippe Mabillard thus travels the world as the ambassador of this exceptional Swiss wineyard, whose scarce production is highly coveted. He frequently donates bottles to events held by charity organizations. This is how he met Christian Michellod, the founder of Moi pour Toit. Because the creation of the foundation was inspired by the gaze of a little Colombian girl, Gérard-Philippe Mabillard came up with the idea of asking artists to lend their image and their face in order to bring relief to Moi pour Toit children. Over the past five years, he has been warmly received by many actors, filmmakers, musicians, dancers, photographers, architects, and designers, as well as chefs, winemakers, athletes, painters, and writers. Gérard-Philippe Mabillard photographed them, letting some take their own photo. The book, prefaced by Thierry Frémaux, the artistic director of the Cannes Festival, is the fruit of these sincere and radiant encounters.
