Alongside series The Remote Exploit and Jungle Thread, Dunes and Everywhere Bridges, these images belong to a growing body of work around porous and polymorphic entity that quarries represent. Grown up in post-industrial area, those sites got a strong collective unconscious.Visiting them trigger sublime experiences due to the exposure to vastness and its mental associated effects. They have in themselves the aftereffects of a century of industrial intervention over its environnement. Extracted, then discontinued, they are lying now as empty areas where human and natural forces act in a constant interlacing.
Consumed symbolically by the physics of light, photography is a way to approach the world and his multiple states along deep feelings caused by observation of nature and modern ruin fascination. Landscapes reflect on the inner and compile singular sensations.
