Leica Shows Winners of 2017 Leica Oskar Barnack Prize

French photographers Patrick Willocq and Clara Chichin, both winner of the 2017 Leica Oskar Barnack Award, will be exhibited at Leica Store’s Photographic Space until November 25th. The opening takes place tomorrow, Thursday, November 9th.

Photographer Patrick Willocq will present his series One finger can not lift the stone. Commissioned by the Noorderlicht Foundation and the African Studies Center (The Netherlands), Willocq documented the life of Dagomba People, living in the  norther part of Ghanna, taking interest in their traditions and rituals.

Clara Chichin will display her series Under the eyes that a few minutes exhaust. These works combined black-and-white photography with writing around a “long melancholy poem”, emerging “fragments of inner life, whispers or inner murmurs. ”
