In southern Ethiopia, among the Surma’s, the window of a small hut has become my workshop.
And quickly people, took pleasure in coming to be photographed.
Little by little, a social event is built.
This function of portrait photographer allowed me to become someone in the village community, to have my place there and, above all, to be able to exchange. The photographs bear witness to this: no fear or worry in the eyes, but on the contrary confidence, an equality of soul. To get that, it takes time; you can’t cheat.
