On the initiative of this Prize, LE BAL, ADAGP and the Ministry of Culture have chosen to support emerging creation in France by supporting the work of a young artist over two years.
Awarded every two years, this Prize is intended for photographers and / or videographers under the age of 40 who are French or have resided in France for at least one year. It aims to support the winner for two years in the realization of a creative project that has already started. Priority will be given to projects that fall within the broad spectrum of image-document, articulating political / societal and aesthetic issues.
An endowment of 20,000 euros will allow the artist to complete his project. At the end of the two years, his work will be the subject of an exhibition at the BAL and the publication of a monograph.
