Venice in Fog
The Northern Adriatic light is uniquely beautiful, especially in the morning, and creates the legendary mystery of Venice when combined with the narrow streets and architecture of the city. Dense fog transforms the city which becomes a stage with continually changing small dramas.
I’ve been making photos of Venice every year since 2010, except for the Covid years. In all of those years there have been fewer than six days with significant morning fog. These photos were made during those few mornings.
I love being in the city and making my photos. That is why I’ve returned year after year.
