Jeanne was André Chaussade’s sister, my great-uncle.
She was the one who received his letters and lived by proxy the First World War front.
Each photo of Jeanne on the ‘Chemin des Dames’ refers to a letter from André, taken 100 years later, at the same place where he wrote them. In eight short stories, we wanted to express the feelings, torments and fantasies of separated beings. Thereby, around a letter, on this day, in this place, Jeanne and André finally meet again.
