On the Footsteps of Harry Gruyaert…
I am a fan of the photographer Harry Gruyaert, he is a master of color, chiaroscuro, contrasts and light.
I like his look at everyday life, the mundane scenes are sublimated by his framing.
I already had a beautiful book of his photos but I had never seen them in real life.
It turns out that this summer he was exhibiting at the Departmental Arts Hotel in Toulon.
So my partner and I went to spend a few days in September near Toulon to see her exhibition.
We were both transported. It was as emotional as it was in front of the paintings of the great Impressionist painters.
Of course during this trip I made pictures without changing my sources of inspiration or my way of photographing, but I think I was rather well inspired, go find out why …
