Jean-François Peiré: The Imaginary Voyage of Sir James Baker, Explorer

Preview
In the 1930s, my grandfather worked for the French railway system, laying tracks night and day, rain or shine. While the train never took him far from home, through photography he was able to travel widely.

In the early morning when he came home from work, after having his coffee, he would shut himself in the laboratory he had made for himself under the stairs and develop his pictures.

When he died, I inherited these treasures, and through them I was able to give life to his dream. This is the story of “The Imaginary Voyage of Sir James Baker, Explorer,” which is my grandfather’s dream, fulfilled.
