The Force Majeure
We live in a world, our world, we did not choose and which we cannot exchange.
Thus, we can only accept it as it is, without false pretenses, without attenuation, with all its asperities, but with a lucid look.
The only alternative is to approve it or not. We can just say « it’s like that, and not otherwise ».
This is a way of being, a way of life, an appropriation of the reality.
But what resource makes this approval possible? It can only be the Joy.
This joyful practice of the existence supposes inevitably a practice of the laughter.
To laugh, at first, it is a decree: the decree of the enjoyment.
Nothing justifies nevertheless to be joyful! Joy of life is without reason; it is irrational.
But this laughter is a relation to the world which makes possible to face the entire reality, including the consciousness of death, thus regaining the permanent laughter of the skull of the skeleton.
