Sculpteur de Territoire
Living in a rural area in Quebec, I went to meet and highlight the agricultural producers. Through my camera, I want to create a link with the community, because since the pandemic, we are more concerned with food self-sufficiency and local trade, facing fierce international competition.
With SCULPTEURS DE TERRITOIRE, I realized a series of portraits of these people who have fed us with passion and pride. These producers maintained and sculpted the landscape where we can see their spoors shaped for generations.
Through my photographic exploration, I have attempted to testify to my perception of them; these people really merge with their surroundings and become one with their productions.
In addition to this exhibition, 10 of these portraits are installed, in large format, «in situ» on their barns and buildings to constitute an agro-tourist route.
