The Institut pour la photographie presents at the Théâtre du Nord the exhibition Portraits d’intérieurs dedicated to the documentary photographer Jean-Louis Schoellkopf, whose archives are kept by the Institute.
Known for his photographs of the working world and the architecture of changing cities, Jean-Louis Schoellkopf paid particular attention to domestic spaces during his projects carried out between 1989 and 2008 in France and abroad.
Designed as a family album, Portraits d’intérieurs presents more than 300 prints of ordinary people that the photographer met in their homes over a period of nearly 20 years.
