The photograph Suspension 1 by Manuela Marques was acquired by CNAP in 2011. The title indicates not only a sociological phenomenon (here it is the survival strategy of migrants that comprises placing their few material belongings amongst tree branches) but also a poetic action, always present in the way the artist views the real world.
This work is registered in the inventory of the National Collection of Contemporary Art that the CNAP has, as its mission, to enrich, conserve and disseminate.
