The HCB Prize, awarded by the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation every two years, is a creative aid that allows a photographer to carry out or pursue an ambitious project. It is intended for an experienced photographer, having already accomplished significant work in a sensitivity close to documentary photography. The candidate must be presented by a photography professional (gallery, museum, publishing house, press, independent curator, etc.).
Worth 35,000 euros, the HCB Prize is accompanied by an exhibition at the HCB Foundation and a publication of the project. The winner is chosen by an international jury made up of seven eminent personalities from the world of the arts.
The Hermès Corporate Foundation is the patron of the HCB Prize.
The call for applications is open until April 30, 2023.
