I would like to wish you very happy holidays and hope that this coming year will offer you much good health, and many wonderful gifts of life! I wanted to share a gift of a moment that crossed my path last night in New York.
The timelessness of now.
Last evening, while riding on the subway, I saw this woman, Fawn, as a train was pulling into the station. She was on her way somewhere on an early evening days before the holidays in New York City. In this most amazing of cities, moments jump out right and left, often with a force that can not leave the senses indifferent-like powerful moments of atmosphere of a film-but in New York, the film, is a documentary of life often floating in the timeless of now. I spoke to Fawn briefly and she told me she is a pianist. She reminded me with her presence of Marilyn, and the powerful atmosphere of New York City before the holidays is a living film that holds attention and like a photograph, will power itself into memory.
A midnight kiss in Paris-the first of 2013
As I dined tonight at “Chez Julien” in Paris, at the stroke of midnight as I was celebrating the passing of the new year with friends, I looked over across the room exactly at 12pm, to see Alex give Margaret a New Years’ kiss , while Lettie the dog, looked on. Here is to wishing all of my friends, family, and loved ones a beautiful new year full of good health, peace, joy, and love. This photograph feels like it bodes a very good omen for a wonderful 2013! Happy New Year!
